Great for landscapes!
Organza & Tulle are available from Quilters Quest. Both these fabrics are great for adding texture to a project. Organza is a thin, sheer fabric; perfect for adding texture. Tulle - a lightweight, very fine netting - is often used as an accent, to create a lacy, floating look.
We are also stocking Aida fabric for cross-stitch; at present we have Cream 14 Count available. Aida cloth is manufactured with various size spaces or holes between the warp and weft to accommodate different thicknesses of yarn. These are described by the count. A 14-count aida cloth has 14 squares per linear inch. At Quilters Quest, Aida fabric is available to buy off the bolt and is 60" wide.
Did you know? Aida cloth has a tendency to fray and often needs hemming before use. It should never be laundered prior to craft work and tends to contract ½" to ¼" when the finished item is washed in soap and water. Hand washing improves the appearance of finished cross-stitching because Aida cloth naturally contracts in specific areas where it is embroidered.
